Suffering from Erectile Dysfunction? Learn About our Solutions

Ongoing struggles with reaching or maintaining an erection can be frustrating, interfere with your intimate life, and potentially reflect a more serious health condition in need of treatment. For these reasons, it’s important not to ignore symptoms of erectile dysfunction. While occasional issues are common and no cause for alarm, you should discuss consistent or severe symptoms with a doctor who specializes in ED.

Dr. Robert Rubin, at Improving Your Health, is pleased to provide several minimally-invasive, effective treatments for erectile dysfunction. Read on to learn how shockwave therapy, the P-shot and our sexual wellness program can help.

Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy uses sound waves to treat erectile dysfunction. During your session, Dr. Rudin uses a wand-like device to deliver mild shockwaves to your penis. Research has linked this process with new growth of blood vessels and stem cells in the organ. This is important for anyone with ED, because limitations in blood flow often cause or worsen erection problems. Importantly, shockwave therapy can help eliminate the underlying cause, rather than merely treat your symptoms.

The P-shot

The P-shot uses platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, to ease ED symptoms. These concentrated platelets help stimulate regrowth of tissue and natural healing in the penis, leading to improved function. To get this PRP, Dr. Rudin extracts a small amount of your blood, which is then run through a centrifuge to extract the platelets. While more research is needed, we find that the P-shot can improve erections and genital sensation for as long as 9-18 months.

The P-shot can be used on its own or in tandem with other treatments, such as oral medication, when they aren’t helping as much as you’d like. While you might notice benefits after one treatment, a series tends to bring about the best results.

Our Sexual Wellness Program

If your ED symptoms are paired with a reduced sex drive that doesn’t stem only from your erection issues, you may be a good candidate for our sexual wellness program. For men, this program includes:

If you don’t receive your desired results from tablets, Dr. Rudin may recommend a compounded injectable prescription for added potency.

If you’re struggling with ED, Dr. Rubin will conduct a physical exam, during which you’ll discuss your symptoms and overall health. He’ll help determine whether you’re a good candidate for the P-shot, shockwave therapy or our sexual wellness program.
