Dr. Robert Rubin, M.D. is an expert at helping his patients discover what it truly means to live a healthier, higher quality of life. But, he hasn’t always been able to give his patients this form of top-level care.
Dr. Rubin began his career as an M.D. working in internal and geriatric medicine for over 25 years, ranking among the top physicians in Palm Beach County. He enjoyed his work as a doctor and caring for his patients, but he was tired of the traditional model of medicine and managing illnesses. He longed to give his patients more than just a longer life – he wanted to give them real solutions to their health and aging concerns. He wanted to help his patients stop disease before it starts and revitalize their zest for life.
That’s when Dr. Rubin made the switch to functional medicine, joining the fellowship of the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, becoming an advanced fellow and a member of the BodyLogicMD network of physicians specializing in bioidentical hormone therapy.
Today, his functional medicine practice has already changed the lives of thousands of men and women along the West Coast of Florida. Dr. Rubin begins each patient’s journey with state-of-the-art diagnostic lab testing, to get a clear picture of what is going on inside the body, then he meets with each and every patient to discuss their lab results, family and medical history, as well as their symptoms and quality of life changes. His thorough assessment leads Dr. Rubin to develop a custom treatment plan using advanced therapies, like bioidentical hormone replacement, platelet-rich plasma and nutritional detoxification to restore wellbeing and rejuvenate the body.
In his personal life, Dr. Rubin lives the same healthy, active lifestyle he recommends for his patients. He practices Bikram yoga, does the treadmill, vibrating plate and lift weights. Working out has always been part of his life, which is why he emphasizes the benefits to his patients. As a young student in West Virginia, Dr. Rubin used to log more than 100 miles a week running along the state’s hillside and then in south Florida.
Dr. Rubin earned his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He is Board Certified in Internal with added qualification in Geriatric Medicine twice, maintaining a practice in Wellington, Florida. He has been recognized for four years by Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd. as one of the “Top Doctors” in South Florida.
